Christoph Schramm is professor for internal medicine, senior hepatologist and gastroenterologist at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), Germany. His long standing clinical interest is the pathogenesis, diagnosis and Treatment of autoimmune liver diseases. He leads the YAEL-Center for Autoimmune Liver Diseases and the Martin Zeitz-Center for Rare Diseases at UKE. His scientific focus is on mechanisms of immune regulation in the liver, models for autoimmune cholangiopathies and the role of the intestinal and biliary microbiota.
