Roman Kloeckner, M.D. is the managing senior physician and an assistant professor in radiology at the University Medical Center Mainz (chair Prof. C. Düber). As a scholar of the German National Academic Foundation he studied Medicine in Mainz with clinical electives in Canada and Switzerland. Today, he is working as an interventional radiologist where he holds the respective certificates at both national and European level. His special focus is on hepatobiliary oncology and liver transplantation. He is a member of numerous radiological societies including the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), the German Society for Interventional Radiology (DeGIR), the German Roentgen Ray Society (DRG), the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EUSOMII), and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). He is reviewer for several top-tier journals including the Journal of Hepatology, the British Journal of Surgery, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, European Radiology, Liver International, and Gut.
